TBIG recognised at the Property Industry Awards 2026

It was a fantastic evening at the Property Council New Zealand Property Industry Awards 2026, with several TBIG projects acknowledged across multiple categories.

Otago Boys High School - Shand Building Redevelopment

The Shand Building Redevelopment at Otago Boys’ High School transformed a closed 1913 heritage building into a contemporary performing arts facility, restoring a valued campus landmark. Strengthened, refurbished and reconnected to the wider school, the building now supports music, drama and performance in a safe, accessible environment. We provided project management and Engineer to the Contract services, working closely with the Ministry of Education and project partners to balance heritage requirements, stakeholder needs and programme constraints within a live school setting, bringing the building back into meaningful use.

Southern Cross Wellington Hospital Redevelopment

Southern Cross Wellington Hospital Redevelopment strengthens specialist healthcare delivery in the region, expanding surgical capacity and introducing a modern, purpose-built orthopaedic day-stay facility. The development integrates new theatres, clinical spaces and consulting suites within the existing hospital campus, improving access and patient experience. We provided project management and delivery coordination, working collaboratively with the client and project partners to manage technical complexity, live environment constraints and design integration.

The Rutherford Clinic is a specialist endoscopy and digestive health facility in Wellington, delivered through the transformation of an 840m² Art Deco building into a contemporary clinical environment. Designed to improve access to gastroenterology services, the clinic integrates procedure rooms, consultation spaces and recovery areas within a carefully planned footprint. We provided project management and delivery coordination, working collaboratively with the client and project partners to manage technical complexity and spatial constraints, delivering a facility that balances modern clinical performance with the character of the existing building.

The Annie Stevenson Building redevelopment at the University of Otago transformed a Category 1 heritage building into a modern and flexible workplace for executive leadership, carefully balancing preservation with performance. Strengthened, upgraded and reconfigured, the building now provides a safe, collaborative environment while retaining its historic character. We provided project management and delivery coordination, working closely with the University and project partners to integrate structural upgrades, new services and accessibility improvements within a sensitive heritage context.
