Oceania - the lodge
Franklin Village by Oceania is a country club-style retirement community in Pukekohe, with The Lodge now open as its central amenities hub. Purpose-built to support wellbeing and connection, The Lodge brings together leisure, health and social spaces in one integrated facility.
The facility includes a pool and spa, lawn bowls green, theatre, café and restaurant, resident lounges, a bar and snooker room, and a wellness clinic. Designed to complement the surrounding villas, it provides residents with a welcoming, accessible space for everyday recreation and relaxation.
TBIG was engaged to provide project management, contract administration and site coordination for the delivery of The Lodge. The project required careful programme management to meet the planned opening date, alongside close collaboration with Oceania, Aspec Construction, Peddle Thorpe and specialist consultants.
Challenges included managing design changes, variations and winter construction of the artificial pond, as well as coordinating multiple contractors across the wider village development. The project was delivered under the NZ 3910:2023 contract framework. Oceania is pursuing Green Star certification, with TBIG managing engagement and documentation with Re/volve Energy.
