Andrew is recognised as a senior leader with a deep knowledge across the property spectrum developed over nearly 30 year of project management and commercial construction.

His commercial acumen and contract management skills steer projects to success whether he is thinking as a project strategist or delivering at the coal face. Andrew’s expertise is sector wide including commercial, retail, healthcare, aviation, seismic strengthening, arts and culture. Andrew has a strong has a strong ability to forge objectives and purpose among diverse stakeholders. A strong team leader – the concept of partnering clearly influences Andrew’s project management style.

Strategic Advisory

Andrew is a significant figure in the strategic advisory space. He has provided specialist commercial and procurement advice to Government agencies and Ministries on their high value and strategically important projects.

In his former role as Manager of the Commercial Pool for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, Andrew was an influential and commercially respected voice, leading strong procurement and property thinking and he has sat on many investment, construction, governance and advisory panels.

Andrew’s 25 year career also spans development from the ground up, with a construction management background, morphing into large scale development project leadership for Wellington Waterfront.

We see Andrew’s understanding in the advisory space as second-to-none in the Wellington region and we look forward to introducing his insights to our clients.

Project Director

Mel is a long-standing senior member of our team and a TBIG shareholder. She splits her time between our Wellington and Nelson offices, where she is leading significant projects from both centres.

Mel is a specialist in the delivery of corporate accommodation projects.  Her in-depth knowledge around the key success factors for commercial development agreements, design management, risk management, procurement and project delivery have been instrumental in the successful delivery of many projects across varying sectors. Mel’s approach is one of no surprises and certainty of delivery through good organisation, regular communication and full project commitment.

Project Director

Martin is a long standing member of our Wellington team, with multiple significant projects under his belt including seismic strengthening, education, social housing and large scale commercial projects.

HIs construction leadership has seen a wide range of contracts delivered successfully, including New Zealand’s largest seismic strengthening project - the Majestic Centre. His ability to oversee projects with highly specific needs has allowed for our up-and-coming Project Managers to learn under his stewardship and he is an extremely valuable resource senior within our Wellington team.

Project Director

Grant Macaskill has provided professional project management consultant services to the Wellington public and private sector for 20 years.  He is highly skilled in the management and development of business case and investment feasibility studies for complex, bespoke building facilities and land development in both the private commercial and public sectors.

Grant has led diverse teams involving business operational, scientific, legal, financial and economic appraisal expert inputs as well as managing the building facility design team to ensure the identification of a robust design brief and concept design development, capex and opex cost estimation and procurement strategy. He has prepared delivered business cases to client executive / governance steering groups and potential private and public sector investors.

Senior Project Manager

Sarah embodies the attributes and values that we value highly. She has a strong industry profile, and deservedly so having led some significant projects for TBIG including the Devonport Library which was recognised with a NZ Property Council Excellence Award in 2015 and the Waitohi hub in Wellington. Sarah is on the Wellington Branch Executive Committee for Property Council New Zealand.

She is highly respected and trusted by our clients. Sarah is experienced in project feasibility, design development and construction management and has delivered a number of public facing projects where community engagement and stakeholder management has been a key success factor. Sarah’s experience in social housing is also an asset to our team.

Russell is a registered architect and member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.  His perspective as an architect adds to his considerable experience in early project strategy planning and design management, giving him the ability to lead projects to achieve high level objectives while understanding the detail of the ‘workface’. 

Russell builds a genuine partnership with the people he works with. He is the calm, safe pair of hands to deliver and offers over 10 years’ experience across a range of project types and in differing roles, including feasibility, design, programming, project management and stakeholder management. His sector experience includes Council, commercial, tertiary, health, aged care, arts and urban precincts.

Jeremy is a well-respected Senior Project Manager in our Wellington team. He offers 12 years of experience and is known for his hands-on governance and strong problem solving skills across his projects.

Jeremy has worked on a wide spectrum of projects including large scale commercial fitouts, education, recreational, civic, heritage, hospitality, justice and social housing. Jeremy was a key member of our team on the seismic strengthening of the Majestic Centre – New Zealand’s most complex seismic project. Jeremy has earned a high level of trust with all of his clients and has a natural instinct to effectively communicate with contractors and consultants to form cohesive and well performing teams.

Matt’s professionalism, drive and client focused approach has seen him hallmarked for a range of complex large scale project opportunities.  He is developing as a BIM specialist and he was deservedly awarded PCNZ Young Achiever of the Year in 2018.  

Matt’s drive, enthusiasm and passion for the industry stands out.  He’s a big contributor to a strong team culture through his natural way of building team relationships which puts mutual accountability and respect to the fore. Matt has got some great projects across the line, due to his ability to see the big picture and to work at the coal face controlling all facets of delivery.  He’s a strong problem solver, with the ability to identify where he can add most value on a project.

Jacob offers seven years of industry experience, including working in an onsite construction management capacity. Jacob has recent valuable experience in building condition and weathertightness surveying on multi residential complexes and has acted as an Expert Witness in weather-tightness litigation.

Jacob is an open, friendly communicator, developing respect and trust through his hands-on approach and ability to work in team environments with clients, consultants, stakeholders and colleagues.

Chris bring 12 years’ experience to our Wellington team and he has a gained valuable exposure to a  wide range of projects both in New Zealand and the UK.

His positive way of engaging and his personality go a long way in earning a high level of trust with all clients and he has a natural instinct to effectively communicate with contractors and consultants to form cohesive and well performing teams. Chris takes ownership of projects and has end to end project delivery experience including project planning, consultant engagement, design management, programming, construction management, stakeholder liaison and health and safety.

Luke offers over 10 years’ experience in project management and asset/facilities property management. He brings a strong understanding of city council project environments and processes.  

Luke is a talented all-rounder. He  brings a strong grounding within the wider property industry, having been involved in many different facets of property related projects.  We value his experience in commercial leasing, tenant liaison, stakeholder management, financial management and project delivery. Self-motivated and highly adaptable, Luke has a great eye for detail and is in strong demand to be on our project teams.

Tom’s seven years in project management is well grounded in quality processes and outcomes. He has achieved PRINCE 2 Foundation and Practitioner Certification, demonstrating his drive to build a career as a project management professional. Tom has been exposed to a solid range of projects, including education, commercial, heritage, apartments and social housing projects.

Tom meets challenges head on, finding solutions and maintaining client confidence at all times. He is a positive communicator and develops an excellent rapport with clients, consultants and stakeholders. Tom worked on the BIM pilot project for the Ministry of Education’s Spreydon School project.

Tom was part of the team behind the St Bede’s College Chapel and Performing Arts project which won the Supreme Commercial Project of the Year 2020.

Hayley’s engineering background serves her well in the technical thinking that supports project delivery. She is adept at all stages in the project life-cycle encompassing project initiation and project execution plans, procurement, contracts, risk management, stakeholder management and construction management. Always a positive communicator, Hayley has a great rapport with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
