TBIG Donate honorarium to the Auckland City Mission
TBIG has donated $2,000 to the Auckland City Mission, gifting forward an honorarium we received from Massey University.
Last year, Olly Steele (Project Controls Lead) and Uli Johnston (Manager - Business Support Northen) led a corporate workshop for their client Waste Management at the Business School’s Management Activation Programme 2023 at Waste Management Headquarters in Auckland.
The workshop was an opportunity for managers to gain foundational project management skills by working on a real-time project alongside a teaching programme. Participants were challenged to plan a wedding, which has all the key ingredients of project management – stakeholders, cost controls, quality, and timing.
TBIG was gifted the honorarium for delivering the course. For TBIG Northern Business Manager Brent Thomson, it was an easy decision to donate it to the Auckland City Mission – Te Tāpui Atawhai.
Sophia Sharpe, Community Fundraising for the Auckland City Mission says the funds will help people towards people experiencing homelessness find a safe and secure place they can call home.
“The Auckland City Mission – Te Tāpui Atawhai would like to give a special thanks to TBIG. Your support will help people in greatest need. Your funds will provide essential wraparound services including kai (food), kāinga (home) and hauora (health).
We could not do our mahi without the support from communities like you and we are so grateful for your generosity. Our thanks to you all.” says Sophia.
“Uli and I thoroughly enjoyed sharing our passion and knowledge for project management, and it was a fantastic opportunity to give back to a deserving local charity”, said Olly.
