Health15 has launched and will save lives
Health15 is a new one-of-a-kind programme that brings free blood pressure tests and expert health and wellbeing advice directly to construction workers, to lower the risk of stroke among this vulnerable group.
Construction workers often work long hours, carrying out physically demanding mahi at a fast pace. This can make it hard to prioritise a healthy lifestyle or take the time to attend important health appointments.
That’s why The Building Intelligence Group has partnered with the Stroke Foundation of New Zealand to help construction workers spot the early warning signs of stroke and ease an economic burden from stroke which costs the country $1.1 billion per year.
It’s all in the name, Health15 takes just fifteen minutes for a construction worker to receive a free blood pressure test along with expert health. It all happens at the construction site, with Stroke New Zealand’s experience people in a mobile van, making everything convenient, free and easy.
As Project Managers, The Building Intelligence Group are passionate about collaboration and partnerships that improve and foster positive industry outcomes, in particular outcomes that can improve our communities.
75% of strokes are preventable, which is why Health15 is so important as it reaches out to construction workers who wouldn’t usually have time to access this vital health screening service.
