Majestic Centre

The Majestic Centre, a 32 storey A grade office tower in Wellington, was one of the largest and most complex seismic strengthening programmes ever undertaken in New Zealand.

Tackling the seismic upgrade over 4.5 years in a fully occupied building presented a highly challenging proposition for the project team. Impacting virtually every major structural element of the building, the work equated to a rebuild of the building from the inside out. 

The engineering design and construction solutions included elements that were a world first, producing a knowledge base which will be of benefit to other building owners and clients.

This successful project was a finalist in the NZ Property Council Awards.

The Building Intelligence Group skillfully weaved the complex requirements together and led the project team to develop strategies and working methodologies that allowed the successful completion of the project.
