An exceptional new medical facility has been completed in Tauranga, bringing specialised services to the region and addressing a significant gap in local healthcare services. The MacMurray Centre is a cutting-edge gastroenterology and endoscopy facility featuring two advanced theatres, two procedure rooms, recovery areas and four consultation rooms, along with ample parking for patients and staff.

The project team consisted of The Building Intelligence Group, Marra Construction, Wingates, Lysaght Consultants, Lautrec Consulting Engineers, and Crowther & Company.

The design brief emphasised creating a functional, efficient, and patient-centred environment. The main entrance reflects Tauranga’s coastal aesthetics, presenting a warm and inviting atmosphere. The layout ensures a smooth and intuitive flow, enhancing both staff efficiency and patient experience.

TBIG were engaged as Project Manager/Engineer to Contract and played a crucial role throughout the project, managing every phase from design to construction and completion. Congratulations to everyone involved in contributing to the successful realisation of this vital healthcare facility for the wider Tauranga community.
