In 2015, Tauranga gained a much-needed radiotherapy facility, the Kathleen Kilgour Centre. This innovative 3,000m² centre houses three treatment spaces and supporting clinical areas. 

It’s a technically complex building and innovation is everywhere, from its cutting-edge technology, linear accelerators, personalised patient care and holistic environmentally sustainable design considerations to its construction and project management methodology.

The Building Intelligence Group recommended the successful use of  Building Information Modelling technologies and Integrated Project Delivery in the design and construction of the centre.

The Kathleen Kilgour Centre was awarded an Excellence Award in the NZ Property Council Awards.

This privately funded radiotherapy centre puts Tauranga on the map as having one of the state-of-the-art facilities in the Southern Hemisphere.
