Unlimited Discovery School

Creating a vertically layered school in the heart of the Christchurch CBD has enabled Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery to once again be a school where learning is integrated into the entire city.

After losing its building in the Christchurch earthquakes, this special character school has returned to the city. Years 1 to 13 are connected vertically and horizontally across 5,800m² space over four levels with a central atrium. Specialist areas for drama, science, performance, digital, art and open learning abound.

The Building Intelligence Group’s role enveloped the entire project, from master planning through to design management, procurement and construction management.
