Stephen offers over 19 years’ experience in the construction industry, gained in project and construction management within the South Island and the UK.

His sector specialties include large format retail developments, commercial office, controlled environment buildings, heritage restoration and seismic projects. In post-earthquake Christchurch, Stephen developed a strong knowledge of local conditions, working on new build and seismic strengthening projects. His background as a chartered building surveyor complements his Engineer to the Contract experience. Stephen is solution focused and leads from the front, with projects under his control quickly earning the respect and trust of clients.

David has successfully led a number of high profile portfolios of work for councils, government, airports, corrections, commercial and retail clients, giving him a very strong awareness of challenges and opportunities in these sectors.

David’s career spans over 15 years’ experience in the UK, East Africa and NZ. He held a senior role at Beca for four years and brings extensive technical planning and programming knowledge to our team – by applying lean principles, David drives every step of the project to deliver best quality for the lowest cost and in the shortest timeframe.

With nine years under her belt as our Communications Manager, Gaye really is the go to for stories about our people, projects and company history.

She’s always been a brand champion for who we are, and has a strong hand in all the external and internal communications that we enjoy sharing with our clients and consultants. She’s written more issues of our THINK magazine than she can remember, and loves to share social media updates about what’s happening. Her knowledge of our business and projects runs deep and she forms a great team with Head of Marketing Linda Dodge and our Graphic Designer Elle Woods.

Sarah embodies the attributes and values that we value highly. She has a strong industry profile, and deservedly so having led some significant projects for TBIG including the Devonport Library which was recognised with a NZ Property Council Excellence Award in 2015 and the Waitohi hub in Wellington. Sarah is on the Wellington Branch Executive Committee for Property Council New Zealand.

She is highly respected and trusted by our clients. Sarah is experienced in project feasibility, design development and construction management and has delivered a number of public facing projects where community engagement and stakeholder management has been a key success factor. Sarah’s experience in social housing is also an asset to our team.

Russell is a registered architect and member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.  His perspective as an architect adds to his considerable experience in early project strategy planning and design management, giving him the ability to lead projects to achieve high level objectives while understanding the detail of the ‘workface’. 

Russell builds a genuine partnership with the people he works with. He is the calm, safe pair of hands to deliver and offers over 10 years’ experience across a range of project types and in differing roles, including feasibility, design, programming, project management and stakeholder management. His sector experience includes Council, commercial, tertiary, health, aged care, arts and urban precincts.

Michael Gilbertson is a strong addition to our Hawke’s Bay office.  He has been exposed to a wide range of project experiences including premium office fitouts, apartments, commercial, seismic strengthening, heritage and retail projects. Michael worked as a project manager on the $3.5B Southern Response earthquake programme.  

Michael offers five years’ experience and has been exposed to a variety of unique and challenging projects, ranging from new builds to refurbishments and strengthening projects.
